Customizing the Text and Content

The description serves as an online introduction about yourself and can be seen by members of your Rhetoric Studio Classes or Wikis, or others you share work with.

To customize the appearance of your Rhetoric Studio Personal Page:

1. Log in to the Rhetoric Studio.
2. Click the My Page button in the main menu
3. Click the Customize this Page link

To customize the description and text of your Rhetoric Studio Personal Page:

• Follow steps 1 – 3 above

4. Click the Edit Your Description link under the Text and Content sction.

5. Fill in the text box with your description.

• Note: You may make stylistic changes, such as font type, size and color or adding links and images to the description by using the text editing options.

6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the text editing box when you finish your description.

To customize the description photograph or image of your Rhetoric Studio Personal Page:

• Follow steps 1 – 3 above

4. Click the Choose a New Photograph or Image link under the Text and Content section.

• Note: You can stop choosing a new image at any time by clicking the Close This Window button.

5. Scroll through the pop-up window and read through the image file restrictions.

6. Click the Choose File button.



7. Browse for the image you wish to upload.

• Note: You can use any jpeg, gif, or png image up to 100 kilobytes in size. If you have already added a photo or image to your personal page, that original photo or image will be deleted when you add the new file.

8. Click the Open button once you make your choice.

9. Click the Save button to upload the picture.

Note: Keep in mind that the image you choose to use on your personal page is the same image people will see who have connections to you through your classes or wikis, or anyone you share work with. Be sure to choose an appropriate picture that you don't mind sharing with other writers.
